Robin Wenrick

Robin Wenrick graduated from UCLA in Fine Arts with a major in Dance and moved to New York to pursue a professional career as a modern dancer. She led a successful career touring the world performing with RUSH DANCE/Art team. This company combined Art and technology and collaborated with engineers from MIT and well known performing artists from around the world. As well as being an active dancer with the company she was also a Line Producer for many of the films the company produced. This experience led her out of dancing to pursue a career in the Bay Area where she worked at ELECTROGIG, a Dutch 3D Software company.

She further developed her skills with interactive technologies for nearly 5 years as part of an interdisciplinary team at Interval Research led by S. Joy Mountford. Robin led and conducted many user studies during her tenure with Interval Research. She was part of the team responsible for developing a series of hand-held hardware and software prototype devices for the Experience Music Project. This device is now part of the museum's audio experience. She is interested in furthering the relationship between art and technology in particular for performance-based installations.
